Philippe Bonnet awarded 20-Year Influential Paper Award at the MDM (Mobile Data Management) Conference
Professor at ITU Phillippe Bonnet has been awarded the 20-Year Influential Paper Award at the MDM (Mobile Data Management) Conference for the paper “Towards Sensor Database Systems”.
The award is a part of the 20th anniversary celebration of MDM and is given to a paper, published in the MDM proceedings, that has had exceptional impact on the research community.
The committee writes that this paper from 2001 has “significantly influenced subsequent work on sensor data management. It has 1,097 citations from top conferences/journals and top researchers.” Philippe will receive the award in Hong Kong in June.
